Alright, before I ask this, I want you all to know I have completed FFVII, Eight, 10, and XII so you know I am not a 7 twelvemonth old who picked up the game.

Anyways

I am at the battle where it gives me directions on how to use the Blitz command with Sabin...as a matter of fact, the game tells me how to do it like, three times in a row. I tin not practise it. I accept entered the battle four times, and I can't practise information technology, and I feel like a full dumb****. I don't know if it is considering the control pad on the GBA is too minor or non, but it comes to the point where I am asked to enter it, and I select it by pressing A, press left-right-left, so A once more, and then I become the message "wrong input."

Holy **** I experience retarded.

Ha, been there....

It took me forever to get it right on my PS1 controller (after which I proceeded to use Blitz equally little as possible).

My simply communication will be to prepare the battle speed to 6 and make sure you're on "Wait" fashion.

I'd beloved to hear some great tips, as I was never good at the Blitz moves...

I was stuck on that bit too. You lot may be making the aforementioned mistake i did. When you are on the normal battle menu, press A on blitz and then that the pointer is on Sabin. At this point you lot have every bit much fourth dimension as you lot want until you printing some other push button. The mistake i made was to call up that y'all have to press A hither simply instead y'all only input the sequence to practice the movement (left correct left or whatever it is) once you take finished you press A and he should perform this. In between each push press you accept one 2d, which is actually quite a lot of time, so don't think the problem is that you lot are not doing it quick enough.

The matter i still always struggle with to do with Rush is trying to put in diagonal directions. I have never had a Blitz that featured a diagonal direction work. Afterwards a while i just gave upward with them.

Press the confirm button at the aforementioned time equally you press left a second time? Could it be that people are inputting the directional commands and then confirming them afterwards instead of confirming them right as they striking the last pointer of the motility? You're not alone, as I've heard of other folks having trouble with Blitz moves, but it's e'er been something of a mystery to me as to why.

If y'all can throw a Hadouken in a Street Fighter game, y'all should exist able to perform Sabin's Blitzs.

The affair i notwithstanding always struggle with to do with Blitz is trying to put in diagonal directions. I have never had a Blitz that featured a diagonal direction work. Later on a while i but gave up with them.
Possibly it has something to do with the disconnected nature of the Playstation's d-pad (?), but then I don't remember having any problems with Aurabolt during the fourth dimension that I spent on that version.

I had no trouble on the snes pad but the psx one gave me some issues performing the blitzes. The snes dpad was the best of all fourth dimension. Likewise bad the new controllers didn't copy them.

The snes dpad was the all-time of all time.
[face_dancing]

I've Bum Rushed so many mofos on that one. I never got far plenty in FFVI on the PS1 to test out the more complex Rush techniques.

As well bad the new controllers didn't copy them.
Yep, some of those controller designers had a brain balk, though I wonder if Sony asunder their d-pad to create the illusion that information technology wasn't a direct rip of the SNES controller. "We've already added two extra shoulder buttons and extended the grips, but we need to alter the d-pad and then we can be sure no 1 will notice."

I have to say, that miniature d-pad on the Gamecube controller is one such offender. I don't know how anyone is supposed to play GB/GBA games with that thing. I started playing Final Fantasy Chance but playing with the stick just doesn't work well with the 2D games. I need the Hori controller that is modeled after the SNES i.

I remember struggling with this when I was 6 or seven, it was impossible I thought. Once yous figure out the timing its really actually easy.

Maybe it has something to do with the disconnected nature of the Playstation'due south d-pad (?), just then I don't remember having any problems with Aurabolt during the time that I spent on that version.
Really i am playing the GBA version, don't know if that makes it harder or not.
If you can throw a Hadouken in a Street Fighter game, you lot should be able to perform Sabin'southward Blitzs.
Those are the fireballs that Ryu makes right? If so then i use to struggle with them too, of grade that may be due to the fact i was rather young last time i played street fighter.

Alright guys, I got it. Thank you for the help, and a special thank you specifically for LightYagami.

No problem, enjoy the residuum of the game.

Select Blitz and press A, the cursor should be on Sabin. There will be a timer but it hasn't started even so. Press left on the d-pad (the first button printing starts the timer, no need to blitz simply yous still can't accept too long, you lot should have a full second in between push presses), correct, left over again, and so press A again (not at the aforementioned fourth dimension or you risk it registering slightly before the last push button press, yous want to press it later). Basically A starts and finish the input phase so you have to make certain all the button presses are between the 2 times you pressed A (if you mess upward or think you took to long, press B before pressing A the 2nd time to cancel and start over).

For the SF2 style blitzes, you can also press d-pad directions twice instead of diagonals. So instead of down, downwardly/right, right, you do down, downward, right for aura bolt (note that the last direction is pressed only in one case, bum rush is left, left, up, upwardly, right, right, down, downwards, left).
